Japan is thrown into a panic after several ships explode and are sunk near Odo Island. An expedition to the island led by paleontologist Professor Kyohei Yemani soon discover something more devastating than imagined in the form of a 50 meter tall monster whom the natives call Gojira. Now the monster begins a rampage that threatens to destroy not only Japan, but the rest of the world as well.
Forty-two years after her first visit in Tokyo, Mothra returns to warn mankind that they must return Mechagodzilla, along with Godzilla's bones, to the sea, for the dead must not be disturbed. If not, dire consequences will follow. However, Godzilla is once again on the rampage, and Mechagodzilla is Japan's only defense.
A typhoon washes ashore a giant egg. Before it can be studied, the local villagers claim the egg and sell it to greedy entrepreneurs. The Shobijin soon arrive to plead for the return of egg as it belongs to Mothra. At the same time Godzilla arises near Nagoya, washed ashore by the same typhoon. It is now up to Mothra defend its egg and Japan from Godzilla.

If humanity wishes to survive they must reluctantly resurrect their most hated enemy, Godzilla.
A prophecy is discovered on the statue of an Okinawan guardian, King Caesar. It states a monster will appear to destroy the Earth when black mountain appears above the clouds. Godzilla soon reemerges, seeming to fulfill the prophecy. But not all is as it seems when a second Godzilla emerges to challenge this notorious doppelgänger.
Comic artist Gengo Kotaka lands a job with the World Children's Land amusement park. He soon becomes suspicious of the organization when a garbled message is discovered on tapes. Godzilla and Anguirus quickly decipher the message and begin a plan of action.
Scientists in the South Seas are conducting weather experiments when reporter Goro Maki, suddenly arrives on Sollgel Island. He soon discovers the island is inhabited by giant mantis, a cast away woman, and a baby Godzilla.
Time travelers from the 23rd century return to 1992 to warn Japan that Godzilla will cause a catastrophic nuclear incident in the 21st century and suggest a way to rid the world of him forever. They intend to go back to 1944, to Ragos Island, where a dinosaur was exposed to radiation from the Bikini H-Bomb test and became Godzilla. Upon completion of this task, King Gidorâ appears in 1992 and the visitors' true plan is discovered. They wish to destroy Japan so it will not become the dominant economic force. As fate would have it, Godzilla emerges once more to threaten mankind.
After the appearance of a new Gojira (Godzilla), the Japanese government builds a robotic Godzilla from the bones of the original monster that attacked Tokyo in 1954 to stop the beast.
The U.N.G.C.C. (United Nations Godzilla Countermeasure Center) recovers the remains of Mecha-King Ghidorah and construct Mechagodzilla as a countermeasure against the nuclear menace. Meanwhile, a giant egg is discovered alongside a new monster called Rodan. The egg is found to be an infant Godzillasaurus just as Godzilla emerges once more.
Godzilla emerges from an iceberg and makes his way towards Japan. At the same time a pharmaceutical company captures King Kong and brings him to Japan. When Kong escapes he heads on a collision course straight to Godzilla.
A monster spawned from Earth's pollution emerges to destroys Japan, spews poison gas and fight Godzilla.
The Earth is headed for disaster and when an archeological research team visits Infant Island to find out why, they discover two tiny women who reveal that the Earth is fighting back for all the harm humans have done here and sends out the evil Battra to destroy us. The Cosmos, as the girls are called, offer their help by calling Mothra to battle the creature. Unfortunately, Godzilla also appears and a three way battle begins that threatens to destroy Japan.
